Where are you based?

 

I am based in Auckland, New Zealand, but am always thrilled for opportunities to travel. I have special travel rates for all weddings out of Auckland to take away the admin of accommodation, transportation and plane tickets so definitely hit me up!


 

What do you charge for your wedding packages?

 

I offer several wedding packages with a range of pricing and timing. For more information please send me a message through my contact page so we can discuss your plans and find the perfect fit for your day.


 

Can we meet you before the wedding?

 

Absolutely! I love to meet all my clients before the wedding and thoroughly recommend it. If that isn’t possible because of location, then zoom/skype is always a great option.

Also, I love helping with the planning process, whatever your questions - whether its choosing your lipstick shade to working out the timings throughout the day - I love to help!


 

We are really awkward in front of a camera so we feel like we’ll need some direction, however we like candid natural photographs, how does your process work?

 

No worries at all! Everyone feels like this believe it or not, I consider it my job to make sure you feel comfortable! During the portrait shoot I will give you just enough direction to ensure you feel comfortable and yet still leave room for things to flow and moments to happen naturally; more focus on your reactions to my direction and to one another; I’ll get you chatting, joking, laughing and bringing out those natural responses. You will have fun! Remember this is the one time during the day that you will be alone together (oh and me ;) so it’s actually a lovely time for you to focus on each other and enjoy yourselves. The rest of the time I keep it mostly documentary style, capturing moments as they occur naturally.


 

Do you photograph with an Assistant?

 

Most of the time I prefer having a Second shooter along for the busiest part of the day. The duration you have hired me for and the complexity of the wedding usually determines how long that is necessary for, and of course your requirements. I work this all out with you when we fine tune timeline details.


 

How long does the editing take and how many photos will we receive? 

 

Your photographs will usually take between 7-10 weeks, closer to 10 if you are married in peak wedding season. I feel its important to take the time necessary to finish your collection of images thoughtfully and carefully - naturally I want every photograph to be just perfect! 

You can expect to receive about 50-100 images per hour, depending on your wedding timeline and hours of coverage; there will naturally be a lot more during the portrait session and then less whilst you are dining or during speeches - no photos of you eating I promise! 


 

Can you photoshop my arms to look thinner/my skin to look clearer? 

 

Short answer - no.  I prefer to focus on making sure you feel totally comfortable and beautiful, so that you can be as radiantly happy as you deserve on this day. I get it though, sometimes we are our worst critic - during the portrait session I naturally will favour angles that are more flattering and encourage those, I’ve got you covered!

If you wake up with a pimple I will certainly photoshop it out in photos where you can see it.


 

Can we print our own images and post them on social media?

 

Yes of course you can! You can use your photos for any personal use - print them and give them as gifts, make your own albums etc, you just can’t sell them. I ask that you don’t add filters and that you would kindly credit me when posting on social media please :)
